(CBS)  The "Second Cup Cafe" geared up for Sunday night's 52nd annual Grammy Awards -- with the help of Grammy nominee Jim Brickman.

Since his 1994 debut, Brickman's romantic piano sound has made him the best selling solo piano artist of our time.

His 2008 album, "Faith" has earned him a Grammy nomination in the Best New Age Album category. It's Brickman's second Grammy nomination. In 2003 he received a nomination for "Peace, in the Best Instrumental category.

Brickman, on his piano accompanied by a vocalist, stopped by "The Early Show Saturday Edition"'s "Second Cup Cafe" to perform "Never Alone" with Anne Cochran, a single from his Grammy-nominated CD, as well as "Simple Things."

Best-known for his compositions "Angel Eyes" and vocal "Valentine" and "The Gift" hits, Brickman has had quite a successful run.

He has six Gold and Platinum-selling albums and has charted more adult radio hits (28) than any other artist.

As a top-selling recording artist, Brickman has sold over five million compact discs worldwide. He's taken the Adult Contemporary radio charts by storm, with four No. 1 singles, seven Top Five singles and 11 Top Ten singles.

His collaborations include tracks with Olivia Newton-John, Kenny Loggins, Michael Bolton, Donny Osmond and Herb Alpert. His latest album is "Beautiful World."

Brickman's likeability doesn't stop at music: It transcends the airwaves as a radio personality and host of the long-running, nationally syndicated program, "Your Weekend with Jim Brickman."
